another day of sunshine was blessing the City of Basel with amazing weather.
Here in front of the work “PANTERAPANTERA” (Zerzura, 2014) – Architecture by Jens Mueller & Thomas Wuethrich, at the main entrance of the fair.
The Press Office was as efficient as you would expect in Switzerland: fast, professional and smooth. After the first bureaucratic rites, me and Daniele (Foresti), my photographer for the Sunday, got ready to start and take a good tour of the first floor, i.e. the upper part of the building dedicated to the fair.
As any other long and important event, the last day is always the slowest one and the strangest: the mix of excitement for the last great deals of the week was blended with the tiredness of the last day of work… almost really impossible to understand which feeling was the predominant one.
Laura Bartlett Gallery, London. It was amazing to see this young gallerist after almost a decade since she opened her own space in SW London. Back then she was a young entrepreneur who just finished working for Gagosian and that started on her own feet. Today she is an accomplished and successful art professional and I actually “worked” for her as an intern 🙂
The very last moment before the fair closed its doors to visitors: tired faces and relief for another successful event that will take place, again in late 2014 in Miami.
I would like to thank Daniele for his wicked contribution to Artemporary and to wish him all the best for his new adventure in Boston!
